What should I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment? There are quite a few things you can do to help your tattoo appointment be a more comfortable experience and a smoother process for you and your tattoo artist. Bring your ID! Drivers or non drivers license, military ID and passport all work! Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your tattoo. Staying hydrated promotes healthy skin and faster healing! You’re also welcome to bring a beverage with you to your appointment. But don’t worry if you forget, we have beverages available to you as well. Be sure to eat a balanced meal before your appointment—your body burns more energy than you might think during the tattoo process. It can take a lot out of you, so a full belly will help! We also have snacks available if you need a little extra fuel. Shower! Please come to your appointment clean and fresh—hygiene is important for both your comfort and safety. A quick shower before you arrive is always appreciated! Moisturize! Keep your skin happy! Moisturizing regularly before your appointment helps your skin be in the best shape for tattooing. Just avoid lotion on the day of your tattoo! Get a good night’s rest before your appointment. A well-rested you is the best you! Get a good night’s sleep before your appointment so you’re feeling your best for your tattoo session. Avoid alcohol before your appointment. Alcohol is a blood thinner and makes the process much harder for your tattoo artist. We will also refuse to tattoo you if you are intoxicated during your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move around in and gives easy access to the tattoo area. Also, keep in mind that ink can sometimes get on your clothes, so wear something you’re okay with potentially staining. We do our best to avoid accidents, but it’s always good to be prepared!

How do I take care of my tattoo? After your tattoo, your artist will go over aftercare with you and provide a take-home copy. Keep the Tegaderm bandage on for at least 2 days, but no longer than 5. During this time, avoid scrubbing the bandage in the shower to prevent peeling it off early. Fluid under the bandage (a mix of plasma and ink) is normal and won’t affect your tattoo—if it leaks, gently dab it with a clean paper towel. When you remove the bandage, do so under hot water, starting at one corner and peeling slowly. Support the skin near the peel to avoid pulling. Once removed, wash your tattoo gently with antibacterial soap (like Dial Gold or Dove) and clean hands. Pat it dry with a fresh towel or paper towel. Wash your tattoo 2-3 times a day until healed. For the next 2 days after removing the bandage, apply a small amount of ointment like Aquaphor or tattoo balm, rubbing it in gently 2-3 times a day after washing. After 2 days, switch to an unscented, mild lotion (like Aveeno, CeraVe, or Eucerin), applying a small amount 2-3 times a day. If it gets too dry or itchy, feel free to use a little more. Once healed, use sunscreen to protect your tattoo and keep it vibrant. Please avoid picking or scratching your tattoo, and refrain from tanning, direct sun exposure, or swimming for the first two weeks.

How much will my tattoo cost?Tattoo pricing depends on several factors, including size, detail, and placement. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to reach out to your artist. Our rates typically range from $150 to $200 per hour, so a palm-sized tattoo usually falls between $150 and $300.

Should I tip?Tipping is never required, but always appreciated! If you’d like to tip, 20% is standard, similar to what you'd do in a restaurant. Whether it’s cash, gifts, or goodies, it’s a great way to show appreciation!

What is your touch up policy? We offer free touch-ups within the first two years of getting your tattoo if there’s noticeable fading or issues. After that, any changes are considered part of the natural aging process. Please remember that proper aftercare is key to the longevity of your tattoo! To schedule a touch-up, just reach out to us and we’ll get you booked.
